Custom Foot Orthotic Inserts

Foot arches can loose their ability to flex and return to normal shape which can result in a painful imbalance. If this occurs your feet cannot effectively absorb the shock of walking. This mal-alignment can result in foot pain, calluses, corns, bunions, heel pain or muscle fatigue. The added stress on joints can result in degenerative arthritis, back pain, collapsed arches, and other painful or disabling symptoms. Orthotic therapy is the best approach in controlling foot motion and weight distribution through your gait cycle.

ABOUT FOOTMAXX

You may not be visiting for pain in your feet, however, the pain you feel may be caused by instabilities in your foundation. Just like a house, if the foundation has a crack, it affects everything from the ground up like your ankles, knees, hips, back and neck.

HOW FOOTMAXX ORTHOTICS HELP THE BODY

By properly supporting your foundation, your feet can maintain their structural and functional balance as you stand, walk, or run. Your custom orthotics give you the stability you need to reduce stress and strain on your joints which can lead to less pain for you now and in the future. If you play sports, ask us how orthotics can enhance your athletic performance.

The Meta Scan System

The high tech solution for capturing foot function. The human eye observes at a frequency of 7 images per second. The Metascan pressure mat scans the stance phase of gait at 150 images per second.

70% of patients tested showed moderate to severe abnormalities when walking.

Dynamic Scan

Compares walking and running scan data for the same patient.

Proprietary diagnostic software analyzes digital pressure mat, patient data, and translates it into prescription for orthotics.

Static Scan

Bilateral pressure distribution assessment and report.

Useful in detecting leg length discrepancies.

Postural analysis to determine deviations in alignment, movement pattern and body symmetry.

Visually observe postural movement over time (replay for analysis & education).

5 Key Parameters

  • Left and right Forefoot contact.

  • Left and right Heel lift.

  • Left and right Maximum Forefoot pressure.

  • Where does maximum pressure appear?

  • Is the centre of pressure line straight or curved?

Why Should You Get Scanned?

A Dynamic Scan allows us to capture images of your feet while walking or running. This will allow for a more accurate diagnosis and treatment of any problems that are occurring through your normal gait (walking).

TAKE THIS SIMPLE TEST:

  • Do you stand or walk on hard surfaces for long periods of time?

  • Do you participate regularly in any physical activity, including sports?

  • Are you over the age of 40?

  • Do you have prior injuries to your knees, back or neck?

  • Do you have obvious foot problems such as bunions, corns or flat fee?

If you said "Yes" to any of the above questions, then ask us to scan you with the Metascan System.
